Members of the National Egg Regulatory Officials
What We Do
Industry issues related to uniformity are addressed by both NERO’s Board and the full membership. Members of NERO develop stronger and more uniform state programs by learning from each other and the educational components of the Annual Conference and Training Seminar. Our membership discusses issues related to federal programs, reaches consensus and responds to the appropriate federal agency with our position.
The various NERO committees develop recommendations for egg regulations and policies. The full membership votes on these recommendations, which are then adopted as the model for all state egg laws. The members of NERO then strive to incorporate these models into their respective state’s program.
